Peer Review Proccess

All manuscripts submitted to SAMAGRA: Journal of Integrated Health Sciences undergo a rigorous and transparent peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality scientific research. The journal applies a double-blind peer-review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.

The editorial and review process consists of the following stages:

1. Initial Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's Online Journal System (OJS). The Editorial Office conducts an initial screening to ensure that the manuscript complies with the journal's scope, formatting requirements, and submission guidelines.

2. Editorial Screening

The Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Section Editor evaluates the manuscript based on its originality, scientific quality, relevance to the journal's focus and scope, ethical compliance, and similarity index. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's standards may be rejected without external review.

3. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject of the manuscript. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process to ensure fairness, impartiality, and objectivity.

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and contribution to health sciences

  • Relevance to the journal's focus and scope

  • Scientific merit and methodological rigor

  • Validity and reliability of the results

  • Quality of discussion and conclusions

  • Organization and clarity of presentation

  • Appropriateness of references and citations

  • Compliance with research ethics

4. Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accept

  • Minor Revision

  • Major Revision

  • Reject

The Editor's decision is final and is based on the reviewers' comments, the quality of the manuscript, and the journal's editorial standards.

5. Revision Process

Authors who receive revision requests are expected to revise their manuscripts carefully and submit a revised version together with a detailed response to the reviewers' comments within the specified deadline. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

6. Final Decision

After all revisions have been satisfactorily completed, the Editor makes the final publication decision. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, proofreading, layout editing, and production before publication.

7. Publication

The final version of the manuscript is published online as an open-access article and is freely accessible through the journal's website.

Ethical Principles of Peer Review

The peer-review process is conducted in accordance with internationally accepted standards of publication ethics. Reviewers are expected to:

  • Maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.

  • Provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based evaluations.

  • Complete the review within the agreed timeframe.

  • Declare any conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.

  • Report suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, or other forms of research misconduct to the Editor.
