Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original, high-quality manuscripts to SAMAGRA: Journal of Integrated Health Sciences. Submitted manuscripts must present original research, review articles, case reports, conceptual papers, or evidence-based studies that have not been published previously and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Before submitting a manuscript, authors are encouraged to carefully read the following guidelines to ensure compliance with the journal's editorial policies and formatting requirements.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts must be written in English and submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format through the journal's Online Journal System (OJS).

The manuscript length should be between 4,000 and 8,000 words, excluding references, tables, figures, and appendices.

The manuscript should be typed on A4 paper using Times New Roman 12 pt, with 1.5 line spacing and 2 cm margins on all sides.

The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the study.

Authors must provide complete information, including full name, institutional affiliation, email address, ORCID ID (if available), and corresponding author details.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript must include:

  • Title

  • Author Information

  • Abstract (150–250 words)

  • Keywords (3–5 keywords)

  • Introduction

  • Literature Review (if applicable)

  • Materials and Methods

  • Results

  • Discussion

  • Conclusion

  • Acknowledgements (optional)

  • Conflict of Interest Statement

  • Funding Statement (if applicable)

  • References

The abstract should briefly describe the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the study. References and citations should not be included in the abstract.

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively according to their order of appearance in the manuscript.

  • Table titles should be placed above each table.

  • Figure captions should be placed below each figure.

  • Images and graphics should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted materials where applicable.

References

References must follow the APA 7th Edition citation style.

Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

A minimum of 20 references is recommended, with the majority derived from peer-reviewed journal articles published within the last ten years. Wherever available, references should include a Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

Ethical Requirements

Research submitted to SAMAGRA must comply with internationally accepted research ethics.

Authors must ensure that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere.

  • No plagiarism, fabrication, or falsification is involved.

  • All listed authors have made significant contributions to the work.

  • Conflicts of interest are fully disclosed.

  • Ethical approval has been obtained from an appropriate ethics committee for studies involving human participants or animals, where applicable.

  • Informed consent has been obtained from participants when required.

The journal applies a maximum similarity index of 20%, as assessed using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate.

Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal's Online Journal System (OJS).

Authors are required to:

  • Complete all submission metadata accurately.

  • Upload the manuscript and any supplementary files.

  • Submit an originality statement confirming that the manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under review by another journal.

Incomplete submissions may be returned to authors before entering the peer-review process.

Peer Review

All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind peer-review process conducted by at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions are based on originality, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's focus and scope.

Possible editorial decisions include:

  • Accept

  • Minor Revision

  • Major Revision

  • Reject

Revision of Manuscripts

Authors requested to revise their manuscripts should submit the revised version together with a detailed response to reviewers' comments within the specified deadline. Failure to submit revisions on time may result in withdrawal of the manuscript from the editorial process.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright of their published work while granting the journal the right to publish the accepted manuscript. Articles are published under the journal's applicable open-access license, allowing readers to access, download, distribute, and cite published works in accordance with the license terms.

Publication Fee

Information regarding Article Processing Charges (APCs), if applicable, will be announced on the journal's official website. If no APC policy is in effect, authors will not be charged any fees for submission or publication.
